Devlog 2: Waves (v1.3.0)


The game now runs in distinct waves!

Before, the hostiles never stopped coming. 

Now there's a rhythm: fight off a wave, catch a breath, brace for the next one. Each wave hits harder than the last: more ships, arriving faster, with heavier archetypes joining the assault as the run goes on. 

Clearing a wave earns a bonus on top of whatever you scraped together in the fight.

When the dust settles between waves, your fleets don't just hang in place. They head back toward the outpost and spread into a loose defensive ring which makes the next scramble feel like a real counterattack rather than everyone dogpiling the first enemy that spawns.

The run summary now shows how far you got and breaks down where your Embyr came from. Time survived earns indefinitely, so a long defensive hold is rewarded.
